Rotator Cuff Tear

Tears and inflammation in the rotator cuff are a common cause of shoulder pain and weakness. It tends to have a sudden onset, since usually it happens due to a specific injury. However, in some cases, it is due to overuse like in athletes who do a lot of throwing or heavy lifting. This type of pain affects your ability to lift your arm thereby hampering such activities as swimming, typing, dressing one’s self, and motions that are overhead like lifting or reaching.
